I (Mike) am going to try to fill out this entire (web services) topic area in a top-down manner. I'm starting with the basics and hope to move on to discuss (probably in separate articles) more advanced stuff later:
- Synchronous vs. Asynchronous
- Granularity
- Loose Coupling
- Reliablility
- Security
- Management
- Orchestration (what tom-cats hate! <g>)
- Choreography
- Composition
- Taxonomies and Semantics
- blah, blah, blah...
Since I don't even understand some of these topic areas myself at this point, the whole grand scheme may take a little while!
